Hi, my name is Lynda Whitaker and I teach 5th grade. I have been teaching for 29 years in 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. I earned by BS degree from The University of Tennessee and my MS degree from Lincoln Memorial University. I am married to David and we have a daughter, Jennifer. I enjoy swimming, walking, and bicycling. I am a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society/Beta Tau Chapter (Professional Educators Oranization), B.C.E.A/T.E.A/N.E.A, the Daughter's of the American Revolution, Daughter's of Colonial Wars, First Families of Tennessee and Springfield Baptist Church. I was awarded Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2001-2002, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007. I was also awarded Who's Who of Executives and Professionals in 2006-2007.
