Wendy Winstead, Librarian

Hi, my name is Wendy Winstead and I am the librarian at Lanier.  I have been a librarian for more than 30 yrs. My library career started as an eighth grade student helper and continued throughout my high school years. I worked my way through college as a library assistant. I have been a children’s librarian, high school librarian, director of a college library and an elementary school librarian.

My favorite library is the one at Lanier. I love working with the students, teachers and staff here.

I love puppets, especially marionettes, cutesy socks and children’s books. I love to read the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries and Epossumondas. I sometimes dress in character for my stories.

I attend Maryville Church of Christ. I am an active member of the quilting ministry there.

Lanier library has a Birthday Club. Folks can donate books/money in someone’s honor. We also do memorials.
